French drains: installation, repair and maintenance
A French drain helps protect your foundation from water infiltration. ExcaFix installs, repairs and maintains French drains across Greater Montreal based on the condition of the system, soil and foundation.
New French drain installation
Perimeter excavation down to the footing, a 100 mm perforated drain with at least 150 mm of clean stone, a waterproofing membrane, and connections installed to applicable requirements. Geotextile is added when the system design and soil conditions call for it.
Repair and replacement
High-definition camera diagnosis, targeted work on the defective sections, or a full replacement depending on condition. We excavate only the problem area to reduce costs and preserve your property.
High-pressure cleaning
High-pressure cleaning can dislodge tree roots, mud, sediment and mineral buildup. The need and maintenance interval depend on the drain's condition, available access and inspection findings.
HD camera inspection
A detailed diagnosis without excavation when suitable drain access is available, such as a cleanout, sump or interior access. A colour video camera is fed through the drain and the findings are documented.
